This is a letter of endorsement of Sentro Orto-Fisiko Korsou and the owner of the patient care practice, Mr. Thomas B. J. de Windt.  Mr. De Windt and his company provide prosthetic (artificial limbs), orthotic (orthopedic braces), physical therapy, and other rehabilitation services on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao.

I have visited Mr. de Windt’s facility and patient care center and I found that it meets or even exceeds standards normally accepted within the United States for these types of services.  Mr. de Windt is fully qualified to provide all prosthetic and orthotic services required by his patients and visiting tourists who may need his temporary assistance and care.  His wife is a fully qualified physical therapist who rounds out the service provision capability of Sentro Orto-Fisiko Korsou.  In addition, they have a fully qualified staff of technicians who provide support.

They are the only patient care facility for these health care services that I am aware of in the Caribbean region.  Their products and services are state of the art and they have a very informative internet site as well, (www.sofk.com).  I have served in the U.S. for the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. as both an examiner of certification candidates and as a facility accreditation surveyor, and I am confident that Mr. de Windt’s skills, services and facility meet the standards of the American Board.
